I visited the studio on a trip to Durham almost two decades ago. I discovered the studio while visiting Duke University and was "taken" by the reflecting pool in front of the Visitor Shop. The centerpiece of the pool is a number of single iris plants. A person in the Center suggested that I visit Cricket Forge. I did. The iris were beyond my price range but the St. Francis sculpture was not.. It has been in our garden and always draws all sorts of comments. Love the piece and enjoy it out our dining room window each day.
